Leanne Millet, LOTR, CHT is a 1998 Valedictorian graduate of Riverside Academy in Reserve, LA. After high school, she attended Louisiana State University for pre-requisite coursework in the field of occupational therapy. She attended Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA, where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2003. She graduated Summa cum Laude and was a nominee for the Dean’s Award Most Outstanding Student. Leanne has received specialized training in Pediatrics and Hand Therapy. Her clinical fieldwork training included a rotation at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in Baltimore, MD. Leanne received her certification in Hand Therapy (CHT) in 2009. She received certification training in Kinesiotaping applications and Augmentative Soft-Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM) as part of her post-graduate training. Leanne specializes in hand to elbow rehabilitation. She is competent in treating a variety of complex diagnoses including tendon and ligament repairs, mutilating and traumatic injuries to the hand and distal limb, specialized wound care and burn rehabilitation. She is able to design and fabricate a multitude of custom orthotics. Leanne resides in Hester, LA in the River Parishes, where she lives with her husband, Darren, and their three sons.
